Birdwatching Holidays in Bansko, Bulgaria

The Pirin National Park was designated an Important Bird Area in 2005 by Birdlife International due to the high number of bird species recorded.

Endangered species such as the Hazel Grouse, Imperial Eagle, Golden Eagle, Pygmy Owl, Tengmalm's Owl, Peregrine Falcon and the White-backed woodpecker have all been recorded in the Park.

Other birds to be seen in the Pirin National Park include the Rock Partridge, Short-Toed Eagle, Ring Ouzel, Water Pipit, Crag Martin, Rock Bunting, Nutcracker, Alpine Accentor and the Wallcreeper.

Guided bird watching tours are available from one day to six days and can be combined with trips to other popular bird watching sites in Bulgaria.

Our most popular bird watching itinerary (minimum group size of 10 people) involves 5 days of guiding in the local area and one free day. Your breakfasts, picnic lunches and evening meals will be provided (only breakfast on your free day) and all your transport will be included in the price of £675 per person.
